  • I've just come back from the body beautiful fair thing (for which I got a free ticket!). Loads of cosmetic surgeons there (ooer) but the freebies weren't bad. I got to sit on a massage chair (v relaxing ), a free glass of champagne, a goodie bag with a copy of Sante and samples in, a variety of pens and pencils (including some which are like syringes, ooer) and a full size bottle of body oil spray for prebooking my ticket (even though it was free)!
    And I found 6p...

  • Through the post I received some samples of white labels and 2 letters from Tescos apologising for merging my clubcards without my permission.

I have visited 4 Tescos today so

Before discounts my combined totals came to £180.00 and after discounts, bogofs, vouchers etc I paid just £79.00. I also gained a whopping 2,613 points which is just over £104.00 to spend at MFI. Which means they paid me to shop !!! FREE SHOPPING !!!!

How did I do this, well for example I had a 750 point voucher for spending £30 on clothes, so I checked out the sale rail, bought some lovely items and used the clothing vouchers in conjunction with each other eg a £4 off, a £5 off, and 2 £6 off vouchers (different barcodes), which resulted in just spending £9 on the clothes and getting the 750 points. (Thanks to Prayi for the £6 clothing voucher and ebay for the till spill). I also used some of the toiletry vouchers and various other vouchers today too.

I decided to visit 4 Tescos today, just to ensure that my car was working perfectly after a stint in the local garage .......... well that was my excuse anyway !!

    Hi Welshy,

Wow, you've really been very busy today! Thanks for sharing your shopping tips with us!:T

I have always said that planning is everything - you do seem to have planned your trips in every detail, so no wonder you've got the results you expected.:T

As for me, I went to Boots today, and used several coupons to get the best deals possible. Unfortunately, as it happens a lot in Boots lately (at least to me), two of the discounts didn't come off, so I had to go back and explain, and I don't like that at all, to say the least (of course, in the end, they gave me the money back ;)). I've got mixed experiences with Boots cashiers: some of them are really lovely and helpful,:T while others can be so unfriendly...:(

  • Hi MBN, at one point I was an official Boots tart !!! but I have found lately that the tesco health and beauty toiletry deals mean I very rarely go into Boots for anything.

I do plan my trips, I sorted out 4 envelopes containing 4 lots of vouchers today and knew precisely what I would buy today to maximise my vouchers and discounts. If I'm organised then I know exactly what discounts I should get and still stick within my budget of £80 for my weekly shopping.

  • Not had much the last week, but did get 3 condoms yesterday. Got a mother and baby mailing from Tesco with a free Huggies potty training DVD and a voucher for a free motoring benefit package from a Nationwide Autocentre. Not sure what that will consist of but will found out where my nearest one is.

  • Thank you so much for that! :-) I have just sent the e-mail & will keep fingers crossed as really wanted to try this perfume. Leg is all down to misadventure I'm afraid - was told by dr yesterday to give up Body Combat as it's too high impact for me (had severe break in an accident years ago) so feeling bit miserable about that but on + side can still do my Body Jam & pilates so not all bad!

    Thanks again Happy shopper! :-)

No problem, glad to help. Ouch for your poor leg - Body Combat sounds quite strenuous! Double fingers crossed that the perfume sample actually arrives!
  • Yesterday I got a 'Storybook England' map.
