Both of us have worked from the age of 15 and have struggled through years of low wages, redundancy (DH 4 times Me 2) to scrape enough together to buy our house.
What worries me is that it is 10% now but what's to stop the government hiking the rate up like they do everything else.
Just another bloody stealth tax to pay for Labour's ineptitude

Hardy call it a stealth tax. What gets me with the Tories is that because they don’t like one of the options on the table they throw their toys out of the pram and won’t get involved in the discussions.

Our tax system cries out for simplification.

The UK tax code has literally doubled in size under Labour, it's now the longest in the world - 11,500 pages. Great for tax lawyers, accountants, and (non)jobs at HMRC, but not great for businesses - who are presumably Labour's ideological enemies.
