Had the mortgage statement through today and it says my interest for March is 3% but I thought the C&G was 2% above BOE so why would they put the rates up? I assume their estimating the BOE rate will go to 1%?

C&G SVR hasn't gone up, it's still 2% above so wouldn't go up unless the base rate had gone up. Are you on annual interest or daily? Give them a call and ask them to explain, should shed some light on this.0

Welcome! I'd suggest calling your branch direct rather than the helpline, that way it's easier to speak consistently to the same person if it involves a couple of phonecalls, also you're calling a local rate number rather than an 08450
