Cold concrete floor.....

Options
Our extension is always cold, and I know that insulation was put in to the walls and roof.

In decorating however, I notice the concrete floor under the carpet is very cold, so I guess nothing was laid under it. I am having a new carpet put in soon. Is there any sort of mat or barrier that I can lay under the underlay maybe that might shield some of the cold?

    Hi,

You definately need a Wool Rich Felt Underlay... we bought some Cloud 9 Cumulus, but nearly opted for some wool felt underlay which gives superb heat insulation... stops the cold air going up through to your carpet and traps warm air try to get to the cold floor, hence, keeps your room even warmer - almost like a barrier effect ( you can buy it here Felt Carpet Underlay )

Equally, you can find some good deals on eBay for felt too
