Chat line operating advise.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help us.
My wife is working for a Chat line company, as she is unable to walk far, but is having problems dealing with them.
It feels they do not have to operate under normal employer laws. Every time she has an enquiry for the company, they just fob her off with rubbish, and can be quite rude to her. Now they have not paid her, and she cannot get an answer off them. She is VERY frustrated.
We are looking to find some sort of advise on how to deal with the gits, and how to stop them treating her like crap, as she works hard for them.
Can anyone give us some knowledge or advice, as to what her rights are and how she can deal with them in a confident manner.

I can't advise on the specific legalities, but with most of these places you are classed as being self employed-which is how they get around some laws which if you were actually an employee of theirs would presumably be different.
Also, when your wife signed her contract with them, did she take a good look at their terms and conditions? Again, they sometimes have specific clauses which are hidden away which could effect her payment if she hasn't adhered to them.
You haven't stated who she is working for right now-but (and I am just assuming it's not this company she's working for!) I would personally recommend Exceltelemedia-they have always been incredibly helpful, and paid on time in the past.
Hope that helps a little and perhaps someone with better knowledge of the legalities of this situation can help further.Well I know you want to love her,but let me tell you brother, she's been sleeping in the devils bed...:A0
