Hi
I've tried searching the Wireless Sub-Forum but can't find an answer to this.
I have been using the internet on my PC for a while and also via a Netgear Router, my laptop.
Lately, the Wireless Icon near the clock in the bottom right has got a Red Cross on it. However, internet on both my PC and Laptop are both working fine. My previous network did not used to do this - why is it doing this now??
Also, I'm now tring to set up a wireless printer but it cant find my network even when i put in the SSID and WPA KEY - Am I doing something wrong?!
Appreciate your advice in advance

are you using windows to configure the wireless, or a program that came with the wireless card. When you say your previous network, what has changed recently?
Are you sure you are typing the correct ssid, and key, try using notepad to copy and paste it from the router config screen, if you aren't sure. You could try turning on ssid broadcasting, if you've turned it off..Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
It says on my 'view wireless networks' that windows has not configured the wireless network and i should use another program (?)
My previous network i mean where i used to live, and also when i moved to my new property.
The SSID and Key i am typing actually on the printer and am 100% sure it's correct as i log onto the router and can view the Key.
PS - the wireless printer searches for wireless networks, finds NETGEAR which is the SSID and i manually type in the Key into the pad on the printer but it cant cnnect
