Bank Cancelled Card now its cost me £180 more for holiday

Hi can anyone help?

Last week i tried booking flights for 12 people but my card declined, i then tried via paypal and again the same thing happened, i knew i had the money in so i rang the bank. I was told that my card security had been compromise at an ATM so they restricted such transactions, they told me i had to re-order a new card and cancel the old one. I did this but by the time my new card arrived the price of the filghts had gone up by £15 each.

Can I claim this back because of inconveniance of bank restricting it or is it just tough luck? Or should i contact the airlines and tell them the situation? I dont think they will do anything though.

Appreciate any help!
Thank you
