Im sure I read it on here somewhere...somebody didnt recieve their batteries although they said they had posted them.

Ah, OK, thanks. I really wonder if that's worth the battery people taking the huff... :D I thought someone might have shocked themselves with an electrical product and was blaming the batteries.

  • it might of been on here 2,dont really know the full story but i think somebody didnt receive the prize they won still a tad silly to end it cause of 1 complaint

Yes, it does seem a bit daft, if that's their only reason.

A better response from them would have to been to come on here apologise the winner didnt recieve and offer to send another pack as goodwill gesture. Their response seems very strong if that was the only complaint

  • Perhaps this "complaint" is just a cover story to end their promotional campaign...bizarre excuse if that's the case!

If that was the cause of the cancellation then the Battery people are very silly and should have just sorted it out like any good company would. Unfortunately with online shopping these things happen and they should know that. The 'complaint' they are talking about, if indeed it was the MSE'er from here, wasn't worth cancelling the competition over. The MSE'er had every right to ask for them to be resent.
The couple of people in this thread who've judged the 'complainer' should actually read the MSE'ers comments before judging.
Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A
    I would like to be lucky,healthy & happy in 2020! :T
  • I take back my comment about someone spoiling it for everyone. Looks like its battery force taking the huff! If they can give away a free pack every day since 2005 surely they could have just resent the batteries out again to the winner!
    Comping again
  • Tbh I don't think it was the complaint per se it was the fact that the person who complained wrote about it on a public internet forum that seems to have riled battery force.

Not that I'm having a dig at the person who did complain, I believe her complaint was justified as she won the batteries and should have received them and of course she should be able to inform others of her disappointment.
  • omg...how childish!! I thought it was a joke when i just went to enter!! Surely a large company would not end a huge promotion over that?!! Millions of people complain to every company and they dont stomp their feet n shut the door..unless its a ploy to bring them into the public eye...marketing technique maybe..? x
Need a new start..wheres good to live in the UK?!
