unable to make credit card payments help needed

i have a halifax credit card and owe £1,000 ,i am now unable to make the minumum payments each month that they ask for.
i am in receipt of disabilty and housing benefit,can anyone advise me on what steps i can take?

    You need to first make a list of all your monthly income and expenditure so you know exactly where you stand. If you use the statement of affairs (SOA) calculator at the top of the threads list (Sticky - new posters/SOA calculator) then post it on here some of us may be able to suggest where (if possible) you can cut costs. You may also need to contact the credit card company with an offer of reduced payments for a while, but they would also want to see the breakdown of your finances. Don't panic at this stage, there will be a solution for you somewhere.
