Does anyone use Google Adwords successfully ?
I've been sent a voucher for £100 credit from Google Adwords but a bit unsure of how to use it to the best for my website.

does your web site sell anything or provide any income based on traffic, if so you can use adwords to drive more people to your site, by buying adverts in google search results on a a pay per click basisI need a better signature0

It's an information website featuring Google Adsense and affiliate banners0

Meh, i doubt you would get any decent return if you where paying for adwords, but you might as well use the freev£100.
If you just advertise the site as is, you are using the 'throw something until it sticks technique', which wont work with PPC (unless the average CPC for your niche [horses?] is really high and you choose very low CPC adwords - adsense abitrage is so 2006!)
You might be better setting up some specific affiliate offer related landing pages on your site and promoting those pages with adwords, for example a review of a horse insurance website:
Google 'horse affiliate' [UK results] came up with one such site. If you use it to get quotes (you dont need to take them up) then you can quite legitimatly review the site and funnel traffic to it.
Please note i am not promoting that particular site, it might be a complete scam for all i know, i am just suggesting how to get the most from your adwords voucher. Do some research before choosing an affiliate offer.0 -

That's complete rubbish!
Go back and read that again. What it says is you can't use the word 'adsense' in your adwords campaign.
You can use adwords and have adsense on your web site, but you can't use adwords to advertise adsense. e.g. you can't have an adwords ad that says "How to make £20,000 per day using adsense".0 -
Thanks everyone.
I have 11 categories on my website so I'm thinking that I could set up 11 adverts, one for each category and use the voucher that way. I've got till March anyway.0 -
I've set this away
The advert from 2007 was already set up for me although paused so I just set it to live again. This was 4 days ago and I've only had 3 clicks and 2,350 impressions. The daily budget is set at 66p as default, it seems.
Would you up this to say £5 in order to increase the impressions and hopefully the clicks0 -
How did you get the adwords voucher? was it just sent to you or did you register somewhere to get it?
