CCJ help urgently needed please!

Hi, I have a situation which I'd greatly appreciate some advice on!

Here goes....

Due to circumstances I won't bore you with, my partner and I have ended up with a joint ccj for just over £900 due to unpaid rent at previous accommodation.

We admitted liability, offered a payment which was rejected by ex-landlord.
Then filled in court form (sorry I forget the ref number) to apply for a 'variation of order' and stop bailiff's execution of warrant.

We then recieved a letter saying this would be looked at by a judge in feb and we could attend if wanted. We weren't able to attend the date (partner had to work and I have bipolar and currently very unwell).

Today recieved a letter from court stating that having seen the claimant, the judge decided to reject our application for variation and bailiff.

I'm unsure why this would be ad when submitting forms we've clearly show. Income and expenditure (including sheets from CCCS) that shows we can't afford to pay in full! The letter today made no reference to how much we should pay, who to, or if we can do anything else.

We can realistically afford to pay £100 per month.

I'm worried sick - can anyone advise what to do?

Thanks for your time and help!

I have no other advice other than to go back to the court - I have never been in this situation but if I was then my first point of call would be the court.

It will have been dismissed because you didnt attend the court hearing unless you filed and served a written statement excusing your non attendance and stating what you wished the judge to take into consideration.

You can make a further application to the court but you will need to complete a further N245 and pay another £35.00 fee or complete a further EX160 (fee remission) if applicable. xx
