NMW going up April 2010

Now I cant find a thing about this but my OH reckons NMW going up to £5.90 an hour in April (start of new financial year) as they said that the last rise of 7p was too low. He aint here to ask where he read it either.
I'm pretty sure he aint pulling my leg cos money issues are a serious topic in our house.
Can anyone do some digging please ?
