easier to obtain loans.. zopa?

my friend is desperate to borrow some more money from me, but i'd rather the debt be in his name and was looking around for easier to obtain loans as he has been turned down by santander already.

any ideas if zopa is easier to get a loan from than the big banks? are there any other lenders who might be willing to lend to my friend who hasnt the best credit history but afaik it isnt TOO bad.

Zopa is likely to be harder to get a loan from than the big banks. If there are unsatisfied CCJs then forget Zopa. Also forget it if total borrowing would be over half of unsecured income, except for the Zopa Listings section that might accept that. No harm trying Zopa to see if it'll give an individual quote after supplying personal details. About 80% are declined after getting a personal quote but at least the first step in reject or accept would be passed with only a quotation search.

Declaration of interest: I have both loans via Zopa and lend via Zopa. There's currently a small chance that my lending offers might be matched, but I doubt it'll happen.
