It seems StiflersMom has turned into the bull version of brit1234 with lots of pretty pictures being used to tell REALLY impactful stories. The emphasis on stories.

I thought I read somewhere on another thread that PasturesNew was sitting on a pot of money. As my FIL says "you can't fall off" with cold hard cash.

We have quite a few people who seem to have read most of the back catalogue of this board.

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...

Well, you've miscalled the market since early 2009, so there's no surprise there !!

To help you out a little on how the market has performed since the start of the year, have a look at this article:
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2010/jan/29/house-prices-rise-january
Where I am sitting right now, YoY for the past year is still -4%.

There's no rush. There'll always be houses for sale.

True ... and if I'd been selling that house today instead of when I did it'd be marketed at about £60-80k less than it was. So I must be £60-80k ahead at the moment, plus interest earnt on the actual pot, plus outgoings not spent on that old property, less rents paid on renting since. All "ahead" stuff.

PasturesNew thats hard evidence. How can you compete with that?
There is a good image somewhere on HPC to counter that. CBA to dig it out though.
