In my own very geeky way I am plodding through all the messages in this forum. On the first couple of pages there are references to Gyp and stamp jobs. I have googled it but nothing came up, can someone PM me with the correct name? Thanks

    You have a PM :)

I thought it was common knowledge that ESA's staff themselves conduct most of the visits, leaving the rest to those that are signed up with them as shoppers??

This is absolutely true......I got a phone call from them a few months ago about an urgent job, and when I asked them when they would be allocating of some 'tea' shops and the 'old fashioned' shops, the girl at ESA said "Oh, in the next few days hopefully, as I'm planning to do a few myself".
  • I can confirm that I have MS'd all of my local tea and historical shops for ESA, and also 5 in Central London back in October. . . . . and I definitely do not work for ESA.

I guess their local employee to me must enjoy the window audits and photographs, I never get them. :)
  • I was in a chicken shop today (not to MS, just hungry and it was the only place handy).

On the notice board, I spotted a print out of the pictures of the different smiles we can pick, some marked with a big red cross and some with a big green tick.

I also think their MSer may have been in as the guy before me ordered what we have to order, sat down then went back and said "I'm sorry, I forgot to ask for a receipt". She re-printed him one, then gave him a big smile and wished him a nice day!
    Happy New Year
  • Awww I want a ice cream job ....Mmm yum,, would someone be so kind as to pm me who does them plz I never seen any ...thanks
  • This is brilliant, I wish my phone did that, i'd much prefer that than to try and press buttons while my phone is in my pocket!
I had a similar problem when my username was the same as the name I was signed up to a cashback site with. I was slating them as they cheated me out of loads of cashback and the owner sussed who I was and cancelled my account, owing me over £50. I PM-ed a mod on this site and explained, and they changed my username for me. So if you explain why you need to change, they might do it for you.

Oh ... and I've got an ice cream job too. Fab pay for eating an ice cream!!!

Has anybody done a cafe visit at a tourist attraction for GFK? I've got a few in my available visits but can't tell from the notes whether they pay the cost of the meal or whether that's included in the fee. Given that they say I would have to go on my own and spend almost the whole fee, then it's not worth it if I have to pay for the meal but would be OK if they will pay the meal too.

I suspect they probably are expecting the meal to be included but live in hope. I've got to go near one of them later in the week for a careers fair mystery shop so don't like to turn down another visit nearby.

Cte I have done some which were at tourist attraction. Sorry but any car park charges, coffee etc is included in the fee. Luckily I picked one which had no tea room or brochure but had to pay the entry fee out of my fee.

You could be right. I obviously cannot name the company but I know for a FACT one of the companies had loads of jobs hanging about no one wanted to do. Company sent their own staff to the area, flooded it and got them all done in 1 day. I suspect it was to avoid any shoppers trying to get a fee increase plsu the jobs were not fun jobs to do.

Maybe some others might be able to confirm this.
