Just had a phone call telling me I've won a cake from a competition I entered in 2008! That's nice news for a Monday morning. Lovely chocolate cake, might even share some with the kids.

I can't see the clothes ones either - I'm over 30 too, so guess it must be that...

I did my drinks audit yesterday - was absolutely fine, I don't know what I was worried about! Was in a nice country type pub, barmaid was v helpful and chatty; I was done in about 20 minutes or so. They'd been burgled last month so stock levels were low and they were serving some supermarket own brands - I hope that doesn't go against them in any way...

Anyone know offhand when REACT usually post the next month's jobs? Haven't seen anything on there for a while, and I managed to pick up quite a bit last month - not got much lined up yet for March!

I know you can't go into much detail on here, but what are the Gyp coffee jobs? I have never seen a job on the jobsearch and people keep mentioning "equipment" which intrigues me a bit!

I believe you have to be invited by GYP to do the coffee jobs. Reading posts on here, the equipment is a set of scales to weigh the drinks I think. Not too sure as haven't had an invite!

Next time they phone you ask if you can be put on the coffee panel. They send you a thermometer to take it's temperature, scales to weigh it, and a stop watch. Good fee and reimbursement, well worth it.

I don't want to sound totally stupid, but do you have to buy coffee? I don't like coffee, but I do visit the places and buy hot chocolate. Just wondered if it's something I should ask to go on but there's no point if they limit the choice.

Yes, you do, it's usually a Cappuccino or Latte. You used to be able to order a Mocha as well but haven't seen that for over a year now.

funny-bunny - I only ever see cat jobs & petrol (but no petrol anywhere near me). I've several other clients added but have never seen a job on any of them, despite there being lots of outlets locally...
