Credit Report Question

Wonder if anyone can help me

I have just got an up to date credit report and an old debt (5 years) is no longer showing on it, but i had a letter from a company chasing the debt today.

I'm confused with what to do now, i asked the company for a copy CCA which have they have sent today but as they no longer showing the debt on my credit file do i reply or just ignore it?

Yes i think it was enforceable which is why it seems a bit odd, the debt was on my credit file before and now its not.

be nice if its stays off but not sure what to do now, the letters from a DCA not the original creditor but think its strange that it gone.

    would you just ignore it?
  • i would for now and see what they do, they may well just be pushing their luck, i presume they are not threatening you with any action?
how much was the debt for? they may well have just bought the debt and decided to see if they can track you down x

thanks wanted a second opinion i will wait and see if they write to me again or if it reappears on my credit file.

fingers crossed they are just trying their luck and the original creditor has given up.
