"swishing" in Bristol?
Does anybody know of any "swishing" or clothes swapping events that take place in Bristol? I think it seems a great idea to save money - get new clothes and make space in your wardrobe by letting somebody else take your unwanted items.
I'm not entirely sure on the ins an outs but a friend in Manchester has done this and apparently you take an item of clothing you no longer want along and you come away (hopefully) with a new (to you) item.
Does anyone know whether these events work? Are they worth seeking out? I remember the big televised one with Twiggy was a great hit but I’m not sure that they would all be the same...

We've run a couple at our church, and I've known other churches run them too, mind you I've only recently discovered it's called Swishing! They are brilliant, great fun, we usually have a little demo (working out what your Colours are and make up), plus some information about whatever charity we are raising funds for.
I keep seeing some of 'my' handbags at church, and I've heard "Are those my boots?" too. I got a funeral skirt, some smart trousers and a silk shirt last time, and a wonderful cardigan the time before.Signature removed for peace of mind0
