Have had a CCJ set aside...now what?

Hi All

Greetings from a very poorly Tang :(
Anyhoo...I recently managed to have a CCJ set aside and cancelled due to RBS trying to pull a fast one and serving the judgement to an address they knew I wasn't residing at
However, I have a feeling it will still be showing on my credit file :(. I have a copy of the sealed claim form stating everything has been concluded and was wondering how I go about removing it from my record?
I've tried looking on the net for assistance...but I just end up confused (blame the virus I've got lol)

Thanks for any assistance and hope all are as well as they can be today

Tang
xx

Set aside means just that, set aside for a later date, it takes the claim back to the beginning, however, if the claim has been stayed / dismissed then you should hear no more, in either case, you should contact:

    Registry of Court Judgements
    Registry Trust Ltd
    173/174, Cleveland Street
    LONDON
    WP1 5PE

    Quoting:

    The Case Number
    The name of the court
    The original summons
The name of the Claimant (Name the Company who issued the claim)
Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional
  • It was initially set aside but I then received court documents asking for my signature in agreement that the case be dismissed. I have the sealed claim form stating that it has been ordered by the judge.

That's good news, should they decide to pursue the claim in the future, they MUST seek permission from the court PRIOR to issuing a claim.

Send a copy to the address I've quoted above.

As 10past6 says, the registry trust are the ones to contact.

  • How long did it take for your ccj to be set aside?
  • Well, I applied to the court two days after finding out. Which was a Tuesday...by the Friday I received papers from RBS' solicitors with a consent order stating that they were writing off the sums and therefore no further action would be taken if I was to sign the consent order prior to the hearing which was the following Wednesday.
By the Monday afternoon, it had been before a judge and sealed.
