I am buying Cow and gate infant stage 1 milk by the ton at moment, and was wondering if anybody knew if you recieve tesco clubcard points on this, and also if sainsburys allow you to collect nectar points on it? I know boots don't allow points for formula, so was curious if all shops are the same?

Hi
No you won't get points on stage 1 infant milk anywhere. The shops aren't allowed to as it is funded by the government or something. Hope this helps!0 -

I think from stage 2 you might get points for the formula0

i think it is so that they are not encouraging you to bottle feed rather than breast feed, thats why they cant offer money off. although they do on the follow on milkCompers challenge 2024 wins!!!!.... Oct £60... £10 free spins, £50 palm, m&m pouch0

Here's chapter and verse from the regulations that restrict any promotional activity on infant formulae. This doesn't apply to follow-on formulae.
19. No person shall at any place where any infant formula is sold by retail—-
(a) advertise any infant formula;
-
(b) make any special display of an infant formula designed to promote sales;
-
(c) give away—
-
(i) any infant formula as a free sample; or
-
(ii) any coupon which may be used to purchase an infant formula at a discount;
-
(d) promote the sale of an infant formula by means of premiums, special sales, loss- leaders or tie-in sales; or
-
(e) undertake any other promotional activity to induce the sale of an infant formula.

I'm almost certain that Tesco will not give Clubcard points on actual "baby" milk (ie stage one / from birth, or hungry baby milk) however they will give it on follow on milk that is suitable from 6 months. This was always the case when my children were small anyway.0
