Indesit's stupid staff

:mad:In my second last house, I purchased an Indesit K342 Gas cooker, three years ago. But it wasn't until I moved later that year I discovered a problem.
It must have been because the kitchen was much smaller and we were more likely to brush against the cooker. When the oven was on the cooker heated up very extensively, the whole cooker heated up, and touching the glass door, the metal sides and control, and the plastic dials were hard.
I told Indesit who sent an engineer over, and he was dishonest. He measured the temperature which my parents say, went over 115 degrees and lied about it. We were shocked to discover this, 115 degrees is well over water's boiling point.
I once read that in Watchdog in 1984 a toddler touched his mum's oven and burnt his hand, and it was mentioned that ovens went over 115 degrees,    so we asked Indesit again who told us we would be charged for another call out. We gave up, that was two years ago.
Now we have moved and have a different cooker, a Canon gas cooker, it heats up, but not as much as the indesit. Even though I swore I would never use Indesit again, also due to a bad fridge, there was an Indesit dishwasher which seems to be good. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Ia feel sure that if your oven got that hot at you old property you would have noticed!
I think it more likely that, at your new proprty, you have insufficient ventilation around the sides of the cooker. Check the instruction manual for the installation instructions!0 -

Actually, the real reason why we noticed was because the kitchen was much smaller in the next house, we brushed against it more, thus we noticed how hot the oven actually got. We don't have the cooker anymore, but I think that the cooker was very shoddily made, why would it heat up so much?:eek:0
