annual leave and toilet checks

when i said staff use it i mean contractors who are rebuilding part of it and also they are used by many staff from other companies based there. we have staff toilets but they can be a 5 minute walk depending on which part of the premises we are in. i often use the female public toilet because it is closer that the staff toilets. i dont know how guys feel about having a female in the toilet at the time they are having a wee. i know i dont enjoy watching them doing it.

knock loudly on door. Yell "security check". Wait 2 mins for them to finish up and put their todgers away. Always works for me.

Personally, as well as knocking the door and annoncing you're coming in, I would be prepared to point and laugh.

Security shifts always sound like a nightmare!

I'd recommend you keep an accurate diary of the time you actually work and what the shift has involved including any incidence. Then compare the time worked to your actual contract of work. My friend had a simiar problem with shift patterns recently and under payment, so I broke down the entire year in to a spreadsheet with a clear indication of actual hours worked in comparison to what was paid in each pay slip. The company she works for were doing away with a fair few hours each year unpaid! It's amazing how inept pay roll departments can be.

Also on the toilet checks, I believe it is out of order. Knowing how boisterous guys can be, especially in groups it doesn't even compare to if a security man checked them out. The presence of a woman security guard I'd imagine would prompt all sorts of lude behaviour from twaits hitting the bottle! In my mind sexual equality shouldn't enter in to this debate.

Not sure why really, its the same job and you cannot tell me that women are all prim and proper after being on the lash....they are getting as if not more abusive, loud mouthed etc etc etc
