MBA funding options

Hi there guys,

Asking this on behalf of my girlfriend.

Basically she's going to be doing an MBA next year. The course fees are 27,000 euros so we are now looking at how she is going to fund it.

We have looked at scholarships and applied for one for a living allowance. Unfortunately there isn't anything available at the business school itself.

It seems that a lot of the "Professional Studies Loans" are no longer available. She went to Halifax who said they no longer offer these but did offer her a 25k loan but at 19% APR!! The guy then added it was the first application he had seen accepted since November, but advised against it because of the interest rate - not bloody surprised!

It seems Natwest do a specific MBA loan which we're going to look at. Also the university say there may be loans available with banks in Germany. Does anyone know of any pitfalls with loans in other EU states? How does it affect your credit score etc? Will it even show up on UK credit reports?

Also looking at a Career Development Loan where the interest is paid by the government whilst studying - seems like a good option but only available up to 10k.

Are there any options we're missing? Any advice on the above very greatly appreciated!!

Many thanks!
