Any ideas how not to invite people!

DILEMMA !

I work with 5 girls - 3 of which are lovely - the other 2 I have to tolerate at work but thats it.

I would love the "3" & husbands to come to the full day - 1 of which is making my cake. But I don't want to invite the other 2 at all tbh. One of them is such a gossip and does my head in and the other has a husband who is such a know it all none of the other husbands like him.

How can I get away with not inviting them ??!!

Just don't invite them, if anyone says anything, mumble something about 'numbers and capcity, tough choices and all that'

That my way of doing it!!

Just dont invite them, we have the same problemswith my DF's workmates 3 of them treat him like a son and the other 2 make his day at work a nightmare and are constantly trying to get him fired by messing up then trying to shift the blame, the other 3 have backed him up all the way so they are invited and the other 2 arent and we have make no bones about the reasons why.

Its your wedding and you can invite whoever you like.

All fair in love and war.

I know they might feel some favouritism is going on but tough.

It might be the kick up the ars3 they need to become nicer people.

How can it be favouritism in a social capacity. Just don't invite them. If they're that pathetic then they probably wont even ask outright why they aren't invited as they'll know!

if you don't like them why does it bother you what they think of you for not inviting them?

  • Hi - it is hard when you work with people !! I had this the other day - wont go into the details now but people were talking obviously about me and it was nasty and I felt really upset by it. It is your day and you should be able to invite people you like who you feel comfortable with. Invite the others quietly maybe and if they ask say your numbers are limited. I think people shouldnt expect to be invited or have the audacity to ask as I wouldnt !!

Why does this make a difference??? You hold the ball to make their worklife hell if they kick up a fuss

I have this problem too :( There are 7 of us on the team and I get on well with 5 of them and tolerate 1 of them. 3 of these are 'The management team' :rotfl: and it's 1 of those I don't want to invite.
