betterware

i have read mixed reviews about betterware but i think i will go for being a distributor to see how it goes - at least there is no outlay like others that i have come across.

I am seriously thinking about taking on a bar job - just plucking the courage up to ring and enquire/apply.

Have got lots of irons in the fire - just need them to get hot - FAST! XXX

  • The bar jop will probably be the quickest money spinner.
Top tip for applying for a bar position - dont phone at stupid times! 13.00hrs Sunday lunch (if a food pub) or 20.00hrs friday evening are NOT good times, its amazing how many people dont forsee this though.

Betterware and similar are loserville central.

Go for the bar job. At least you will know your working hours, know how much you will be paid and have legal protections of real employment.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
  • My father does betterware, his been doing it for over 6 years now and it really is a waste of time sadly :(
He is lucky to get £20 a week on a good week!!
He dont drive and covers a large round, he puts all his books out then collects them in over 2-3 days as people dont leave them out on the requested day!
Sometimes he gets a good week other times he don`t last week he got just 2 orders!! He has regular customers who order which helps but again only on certain rounds.
If items are out of stock - very common then this is deducted too as not classed as an order!
Good for a retired person who wants to keep active and have a bit of spending money imo!
I also took up betterware in my area about 5 yrs ago and gave it up after 6 months, it was hard work snow, rain, wind, 2 children no car and no orders - too much for peanuts.

Our local co op are always looking for people to work at tills or shelving assistants in the evenings/weekends worth seeing if any of your local shops need a few hours help.

    Good luck x

Your father would be better off getting a paper round or being a lollipop man.

    Hey BeautyandtheBeast :)
Since there is no outlay you can always give it a go and if you find it's not for you all you will have lost is a little bit of time but still possibly made a little bit of money in the meantime :) But it may just turn out to be something that is for you - you can always work it around a bar job at the same time :)
Nothing ventured - nothing gained :)
    Good luck :)

You have to put in a lot of work for quite a small amount of commission with these types of jobs so I wouldn't recommend it but if you really want to give it a go then do one where you don't have to pay anything out for books/stationery etc then at least you have nothing to lose but your time.
Also people are just not spending much at the moment and a lot of the things they sell are available cheaper somewhere else so I really think it would be harder nowadays to get a reasonable amount of orders.
  • got my books all ready - really enjoyed getting them sorted!! taking them out tomorrow & monday - collect on wednesday - collect comission on following Monday! Yay!!
