I have been in arrears with them for a couple of years regarding my overdraft, had around £300 in charges added on as well.
I cant find who is dealing with my account.

i would presume that contacting Halifax to find out some info first would be the starting point. ie how much is know owed, exactly how much is made up of charges etc.
im very surprised you dont know who is dealing with the account, im in arrears with halifax and they certainly dont give you the chance to not know!!:rotfl: have they not been writing to you??Please be nice to all moneysavers!

I owe £700 in total, i have had several letters from various DCA's and all of them have passed my account around, and i cannot locate it.
I have been at Uni so i do not have access to mail0 -
If your at Uni can you not get a 0% overdraft account to avoid charges. I have about a £3000 overdraft at 0% but i don't use it.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -

well in that case i would think you would have to go back to Halifax and ask them direct, or go home and get your mail checked.
just noticed over on your other thread that your mum i s getting worried now too over the letters, i think it may be worth a call to halifax and poss some of the other companies just to avoid any DCA's turning up on her doorstep too.
it comes down to you cannot pay what you cannot have, hopefully CAB will help you thru this when you see them but for now i think making token payments of a £1 per month to the debts would at least calm things down with them, and letting them know your current address also (if you cant get access to your mail from home very often) would be wise so at least they know you arent hiding from them or anything. I thought you had to register your change of addresses with some things anyhow, i know you do with your driving licence as if you dont it can mean you have to re take all your tests to get it back....
i have debt probs myself so i know it can be scary, but your in the right place here
