Phone Call from Sky

Just recieved a call from Sky asking for me by name, and asked me if everything was fine with our tv, he then asked me to confirm my address, and phone number, which I did!
He then asked me "if I have debts that I am struggling to pay each month" I said to him "Is this really Sky TV?" to which he replied yes! so I said that I am not interested in this and to not call again!
Our Sky TV is actually in my patners name and not mine and thought it was a bit strange!! It also came through on Caller ID as and international Number.
Has anyone else had a call like this?
(sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place!):)
Thanks

It could be any number of scammers/chancers/ marketing companies. Even could be TV Licensing, they allegedly have offshore call centres.0

Sounds like a marketing call, they have managed to pick up your details.
There was an insurance scam going about where once your sky 12 months had ended you got called up by 1 of about 3 different companies to pay a stupid amount to continue insurance. No idea how they get the details.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Just had another call this time he asked me if I recieved my sky tv through a dish! I just stopped him in his tracks and said that I had already had a call and I 'm not interested, he went on to say that he's not selling anything blah blah blah!!
So I just told him not to call again and to remove my details!! Hopfully won't get any more calls!
Thanks Guys:)0
