Removing kids paint stains??

Hi, I'm hoping you'll be able to suggest something that will remove poster paint (ELC) stains from my daughters clothing??

She loves to paint, and I love her to do it, she's very good and wears an apron and doesn't make much mess, but she's got her sleeves a few times and I have several stained tops now. I just can't get the stuff out!

I don't know the answer to your question I'm afraid, however if nothing gets the paint out, let her decorate the rest of the T shirt to match and you've got handmade designer clothes!

have you tried washing it by hand with cold water and washing up liquid?
  • Washing up liquid and sugar works like a charm on emulsion paint so it should work on poster paint
Rub some washing up liquid into the affected area then sprinkle on some sugar and give it a really good rub (I use a nail brush for this) then wash as normal
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

  • Thank you for all your suggestions, I shall be trying them out later.

She of course would love ubamother's suggestion :rotfl::rotfl:.
  • Depends what kind of paint it is.

If it is acrylic based - forget it.
    Put the kettle on. ;)
