    Morning Ruby
Just thought I'd say 'Hi!'. Well done - you sound like you've got everything under control. Good luck with the debt-busting. Its hard work but you will do it. Smart Lady - keep going!!

  • Ruby,
A friend of mine was in a similar situation to you but had no dependants. They had no assets such as their own house and debts building up to the tune of £35k. They could have been like you and tried to cut back on things that gave them pleasure and struggled for the next x number of years.

In their case they went bankrupt and within a year they are now discharged and enjoying life again. I know it is a very, very big step perhaps may be one worth considering.
  • Hi Ruby,

I am well, its Saturday:j:jand no work today.:j.

I agree that it is a lovely day..... lovely and frosty.:)

Pup is fine.... chewing the stair at the moment ;).

I am intrigued re your "idea" . Hope it works.

Still not decided re the birthday thing . I will have to decide this weekend as my sisters keep calling me. I would have to ask permission to take the boys out of schoolbut I think that should be ok.

    Catch you later.

  • :jYou will need to get a holiday form from the school and I'm sure if you explain about your parents it shouldn't be a problem, we had a similar thing a few years ago when we had the chance to go to New zealand ( a gift from my late father in laws estate), but as yours are still young take the chance. will keep you posted on the idea.:)

Just popping on to wish you luck with your new diary, I hope it keeps you motivated. It's funny cos when you mentioned your 25th wedding anniversary, I got flash backs of my mum and dad's wedding anniversaries and I thought you must be 'really old', then realised that I will be married for 17 years this year so I'm not that far behind you really :rotfl: where does the time go *confused* I also can still hear my parents (particularly) and others saying 'it'll never last' :rotfl:

I hope your plans all work out
