    miggy wheres the cake

Here I am, here I am - with cake! You can have first piece Happy - good to see you back! You don't mind first do you? It's kind of a generous one but it needs to be because first piece never comes out quite right. There is cream if you want some. Plenty for everyone, please help yourselves.

Ooh and I brought brandy snaps just in case we didn't have enough fattening stuff ;) And fruit punch which I'm hoping won't do my head in.

    Has anyone lit the BBQ?

Today I was setting up my PC in the conservatory.

    :shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked: Oh no you didn't!

Then whlle I was eating a sandwich (dinner!) gallons of water started pouring out of the ceiling of the boiler cupboard. (two pipes had separated in the ceiling space).

:j:j:j Sorry Mike, I realise at this point I shouldn't be jumping for joy but..it's. well, it's just so exciting, you got running water AND ceilings! Even the boiler has a cupboard!!!:j:j:j

So I mopped that up ....Yaay! They gave you a mop too! :j

Then a local historian rang the doorbell and wanted to see if there was a secret passage and a basement (quite interesting) and was about to tell me about the resident ghost (Oh Great!) then it started getting dark and I had to put a load of stuff back in the house from the garden.

:j:j:j I can hardly stand it, a ghost AND a cellar too! Wooohoooo! :j:j:j

I haven't watered the window boxes (everything in the kitchen got watered though) but I wanted to just say... hang in there! I'm fine, if damp, and will post tomorrow.

:j:j:j Now I'm SO excited I will take the tena....anyone?

    Aaaaawww......A real kitchen! :j

    Thanks everyone.

    Mike

Hi Mike, Welcome back and what a wonderful tale you tell. At least you weren't too dazed to take it in, that would have been such a shame. I enjoyed our few days immensley (sp) (getting late). We are all agreed that your face and those of Jack and Sam and the look of sheer joy will never be forgotten. It couldn't have happened to 3 nicer lads.
All you have to do now is buy an ashtray and wipe your feet when you come in. Better still, take your shoes off. Oh and buy a bottle opener. Wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Aaah Mike, what a beautiful summary of your experience, got me choked up a couple of times and made me feel like I was back there again.

Still grinning from ear to ear and so proud that this has happened to you.

What else still amazes me is how lovely the tv people were. They would thank you for doing something for them and I was like "why are you thanking me? I am so grateful that you are doing this for Mike, I should be thanking you!"

It was such a wonderful experience Mike and without you it would never have happened. Believe me, you thoroughly deserve it!

All the best and lots of love,

    Poo

Lets get this party started! I have my coffee, just need a small piece of cake and I'll be happy. I'm not very high maintenance! lol

As you say, great photo's. All good, but my favourite is one of Jackoriah, made me smile to see that great grin again :j What an amazing, emotional day we all had. Would do it again in a heartbeat

Mike - if there is an article about it in this weeks paper can you save a copy for us to see please :T

The website seems to be about a week behind the paper version. Have a look next Thursday.
