Mike, if that would work, I'd have SB on the case. Unfortuantely, in this case, I think the petty childishness of the organisers of the youth group are beyond that.

The article was edited to make it sound as though my friend was a moaning mini, the other person was sacked from her job, a mutual friend was slapped in the street, and only letters in support of the youth group have been printed.

No mention that 3 children with learning disabilities were excluded from youth group without any discussion with the parents of the children involved. At the time no reason was given. Blatant disregard for the Disability Discrimination Act and against all polocies of inclusion - not to mention how upset my friend's wee kiddies were 'cos they weren't allowed to "play with their friends". :mad: :mad:

Best not get me started!!!!

Hi!

Yes, he did indeed. More than 100 emails from forumistas and he and I have talked and I'm waiting to see if they decide to take it on as an episode. You have NO idea how wonderful that would be. They're sending someone here to have a chat and measure up to see if it meets with the programme's objectives, time, budget and all that.

Maybe won't hear for weeks or months as they're still filming the current series. But a fabulous result for everyone who kindly added their support, whatever the outcome.

And some hope at last!

Belated is fine! Thank you very much. I didn't do much today but I've had some good news or done something cool every day this week. Tomorrow is a big meet at the eye specialist. They might operate again. I'm taking my white stick in case.
