  • Would it be possible to have the ability to specify months as well as years in the remaining mortgage term area?
Maybe an additional drop down with months 1 to 11?

The calculator is no longer working for me! They seem to have upgraded it and now I just get an 'error' message whenever I try to use it! Anyone else having the same problem?

Silly issue but the calculator does not work for absolutley zero fee mortgages; have to enter a £1 fee instead. :(

You can put in 0.0000000001 and it adds it as 0 :) HTH

I would like the function of comparing 3 mortgages - I have 2 at different terms (due to overpayments) and have been trying to work out if consolidating them - would work out better - than keeping them as they are.. If i could add my two and a third it would help me :)

I'd love to be able to add a more 'stand alone overpayments' at different dates too.

Find the locoblade spreadsheet that can do more useful stuff

When comparing mortgages you can ignore the full term and just use the rates and payments  doing 2 into one is easy.
(if you want help start a new thread for your 3way problem with the details)

last time I looked this ultimate calculator it had flaws, errors and misleading presentation, reported some no idea if they ever fixed the issues.
  • This isn't working for me now.
The overpayment calculations are incorrect if I use Repayment / Annual % overpayment options.

It would be great if on the 'compare' tool you could also add in the overpayments calculator as optional extra info.  Im trying to compare two mortgages right now, one has a higher rate but no fee and one is a bit better rate and a reasonable fee i can pay up front. and i plan to overpay whichever monthly while I can but I cannot work out which is best overall. iIf added it should be totally optional, to not complicate the tool obviously

and on a similar note:  ERC charges seem different per lender and I'm trying to compare 2 mortgage in this respect too. due to needing a BTL mortgage right now, but I may have to change this before product is finished due to moving back in (its dependent on if 'working from home' becomes policy/possible in my job)  it would be really handy if i could compare, rates, overpayments, ERC charges and fees over time,  probably not many people need this tho!

Generally these calcs are all GREAT! thanks MSE
