Good cheap Dark rum and cheap alternative peach schnapps ?

Can anyone recommend a good cheap dark rum ?
Aldi sell one for about £7 odds and I have seen some cheap ones at varoous supermarkets. However I dont know if any off them are any good.
Also looking for a cheaper peach schnapps. I like archers but Im trying to save money and again are looking for a cheaper alternative.
Has anyone got any recommendations- many thanks ?

Peach schnapps is probably the easiest to find an alternative for. If you have any friends going abroad you can get loads of decent schnapps cheap as chips. Most brands are ok but I used to buy Teichenne when i could get it. (they also do loads of different flavors, i like apple schnapps with lemonade)

Sainsburys do a peach schnapps. Haven't tried it but it's about half the price of Archers and same alch vol

Morrisons have got orchards on offer at the moment. A cheaper peach snapps that i can't taste the difference with. Its been reduced to £6. The archers has also been reduced but its still over a tenner i think

Another vote for Aldi peach schnapps, try it with fresh orange juice, its lovely. Wouldn't buy any other.

I also buy Sains own brand dark rum, but I only have it in coffee, so don't knowhow it would compare if drunk on its own. I think it would be a bit harsher than Captain Morgan or the like.

I like Lidl's dark rum - I think its called James Cook.

Icelands peach Schnapps is cheap and tastes nice but is a lot sweeter and less tangy/fruity than Archers.

Thanks for all the information. I will probably try the Aldi one and Orchards as they are both easier to get. Its good to know there are some alternatives.
Seem to be struggling a bit with the rum- any more recommendations for Rum ? thanks
