Lent starts tomorrow - what is your 40 day challenge?!

Perhaps you started a new challenge on Jan 1 and have lapsed...

Perhaps you started a new challenge this month and have lapsed already (never mind!)

Perhaps you think pah, a month is easy!

Perhaps you have seen the year long challenges on here and thought, but a year? A whole year?! It's too long....

If so, start now and start small... just 40 days... the challenge is to pick any of the challenges circulating the boards and just do it for 40 days. Some of the challenges at the moment:

*Best coin forward (every day save the highest value coin in your purse)
*Payment a day
*No/minimal spends for the 40 days
*Set a number of NSD
*No toiletries/clothes/magazines/DVDs/books

Anything!

I am going for Best Coin Forward and no buying books until I've read the ones I already have for 40 days.

I will also again try and do no chocolate, but that is not always successful :rotfl:

As its Lent, you get Sundays off, too! I'm giving up alcohol, and whingeing!

Giving up fizzy drinks is mine! Same every year. (Have been doing it since the New Year though so don't know if it counts this year...:))

Hi,

I normally give up crisps for lent, I put 50p a working day in a jar, then I normally have around £16 to spend on a bit of summat for me, so I'll do crisps. Now this means I have one packet left in the cupboard, so I'm gonna have to go eat them now! Not good for the weight loss plan, but if I am to succeed I need to remove temptation! That's my storey and I'm sticking to it!!

Gratefulforher, there is no way on earth i'd be able to give up whinging for 40 days!!! That is just too much to ask for!!;)

I would like to join this challenge and give up fags, not just for the next 40 days but forever... hoping to start small and keep it going. And the money I save on fags will be put towards the baby fund!!!
