I have been bankrupt for just over 2 years now and was lucky enough to receive an early dis-charge. Although I never want to go through that experiance again I would like to know if there are lenders out there who will accept people who have been made bankrupt, it is my belief it stays on your credit report for 6 years. Are there any companies who will accept a lepor like me.To be able to relax again I need to borrow roughly £6000. Please believe me when I say I have learnt my lesson, losing my house was something I will never forgive myself for, I will never forget the day I locked my door and walked away.

Hi leah
As a starting point - after your discharge did you do a check of your credit file to make sure everything had been recorded correctly? it often isn't - if you haven't done this then have a read of this link http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=677875
I suspect you would struggle to get that level of credit whilst your bankruptcy still shows on your credit files. Maybe try asking on the bankruptcy board though as they are the people most likely to have come across this issue.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
