Have you tried looking in your local Poundland for these? We bought some before Christmas and they were brilliant - the full sized lanterns which are about 3' high. You can also buy them on eBay for about £1 each including postage. It might be worth checking these options as £16.99 still sounds expensive to me.A [STRIKE]B[/STRIKE][STRIKE]C [/STRIKE]D E [STRIKE]F[/STRIKE]G H I J K L M N O P Q R S [STRIKE]T[/STRIKE]U V [STRIKE]W [/STRIKE]X Y Z0

the works at 99p, many colours0

Don't buy these on ebay.. unless it says that they are fire retardant and that the fuel cell is non drip, otherwise they're rubbish.
The works is cheapest and they currently have yellow, orange and blue at 99p each plus £2.99 postage if you buy 10, making them £12.89 for 10.0 -
Cow killers the lot of you....
(erm maybe you might want to look at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8490524.stm for the background on my comment....)Tesco is my second home:j0 -
Beaten to it but The Works had loads for 99p each the other day.
They don't just kill cattle they also scare the living bejeezus out of them....and anyone else who sees them & doesn't know what they are. They also set tree's alight when they get caught in them as a friend found out!0 -

Please, don't buy these lanterns. They can travel many, many, many miles - causing fires when they come down and killing cattle. They are constructed round a thin metal/wire frame and when they land in the fields they can get either eaten by animals directly - and then the wires puncture their insides and they die ... or, the harvester chops down the crops and the wires end up being shredded and inside silage (think: big bales of mown hay/grass). This is the winter feed for animals and is literally tossed out into the fields for animals to eat ... and the wires hidden inside pierce their insides and they die.
This product was used in China, for specific festivals, in very very remote areas. The UK is too crowded for these to be safe.0 -
I have to say recently ive looked up at the sky & seen these flying flames, now ive discovered what they are i'm surprised they are allowed in this country, especially with the tight H&S laws we have ?? As much as they look fun & a great novelty, they are also dangerous & can cause accidents or distraction for motorists. Personally, - they should be banned or regulated like fireworks.I usually like to drink my whisky neat :cool2:0
