How to pay for CCA requests?

Hi,

I have all of my letters ready to go 8 in total and am wondering if there are any alternative methods of paying the £1 fee?

The post office are going to charge 50p per postal order and i don't have a cheque book, nor do i want to ask anyone to help me on that front (there's far too many cheques!)

Assuming i'll just have to bit the bullet and pay the extra 50p per p/o (i know that sounds really tight but i'd rather put it towards my debts!!)

Thanks
Missal

    Hi

I Have 8 creditors that am sending cca requests to and three companies (mobile phone, mobile BB etc) that i am sending letter to regarding defaults that they have registered against me.

So actually need 11 p/o!! the posty are going to love me, they're going to think i'm a right crettin aren't they when i ask for 11 postal orders then ask them for all recorded delivery (especially when they have a nose at the addresses!!!)

    I'm dreading it!

If your concerned, Cant you buy postal orders in bulk, then return letter or even a different post office to send the letters by recorded delivery.
Only a few people know the CCA process so they are likely to not understand.
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

Hmmm good idea!!! I will do that.

Went to posty last night (as runs atthe back of my local convenience store) and there were no recorded delivery slips, will try again today hopefully that will cut the waiting around time down abit too!

    Thanks again

went to post office this morning and was made to feel a complete pain in the rear!

Not only did i take ages to be served (approx half hour) but the women behind the counter were having a good nose at the adresses as had to send them recorded! Think the fact that i had 9 letters which i needed 9 £1 postal orders and all had to go recorded was obviously the highlight of their day!

Anyway, it's for the good of my debt management!!! (and it's done now!!)

They are there to serve you!
If it was one of their friends coming in for ONE PO, then they would take just as long as you because they would have been chatting:D
....if my Local PO is anything to go by

  • like you I have done my letters and am dreading going to the po to get my postal orders - can I get blank ones and then write in the payee myself then going to post them somewhere else...I felt sick yesterday writing my letters...

Yes you can. There is no need to have the payee put on them at the point of purchase.
...and you dont need to give them the adress for Recorded Delivery. Just stick the POs in the envelopes, after making them payable to whoever and putting your House Number and Postcode on the back of each one, and tell the Clrk that you want to send them Recorded Delivery.

You will get a receipt for each PO and Recorded Delivery. Use the RD receipt for checking on delivery by going to the Web Adress given on the receipt.

  • i did that went in and bought the p/o's took them home, filled in all the details and sealed everything up and just went back the next day to send them recorded delivery x
  • Did you get crossed or uncrossed postal orders if you didn't get ones with payee written on.
