Hello all,
I have been a lurker for some time , but at the end of 2009 I faced facts and realised the debt problems could go on no more. On January 1st all my creditors got the minimum payment and Payplan took over! Its a frightening thought when you finally tot up all the monies due. Our debt stands at over £23,000 and is projected to be clear in 12years! But the deed is done and finally the phone calls are starting to die down, although not everything has been settled/frozen agreed with all of the creditors but we're keeping our fingers crossed.
I would like to thanks all of the posters that I've read that have encouraged me to accept we needed help and here's to the future not the past.

Regards

Sherb

    Hi Sherb1e and welcome.

Just wanted to say well done on taking those first steps, in my experience, they are the hardest ones to take. There's alot of us in the same boat on here and this site has been an absolute life saver for me.

I too started the year with Payplan but as a self help thing. But I do feel strangely free in a way. I am doing something about my mess and taking responsibility for myself. Realising the fact without anyone telling me was a LBM and I am folowing through with everything. I dont even mind the phone calls now as I am being open, honest and they will only get the same answers anyway. And as for my credit rating! I can honestely say without any doubt whatsoever that we can live without credit. And I mean LIVE.

Payplan have given me good solid advice and I thank them for that.

No money but I am still alive - do you think though that I should go public about the BIG WIN!
  • Nah don't go public, just sit back and enjoy the feeling, knowing you can let the phone call nuisances dangle around for a while. I think small victories add up to a lot and they keep you going.
