Sainsburys and Tesco's have Lemsip Max Cold & Flu capsules on special offer for £2.00 at the moment. OH says only tablets with the word flu work (!!!!) when he has a sniffle. Only a pound cheaper but every little helps... (was going to buy Beechams but they were just under £5 a packet)

Home bargins have beechams active cold relief caplets 14 @ 99p....these are really good... ( work on man flu too!! )0

Sainsbury's/Tesco/Boots (and probably more) max strength cold & flu are the same and usually about £1.60 - check and compare the active ingredients. I agree, they are the only non-pharmacy meds that work for man-flu and headaches.0

Or you could just buy 32 paracetamol for 32p! Just as good.0

The powders eg Sainsburys (which were recently only 99p for 10, until they saw the competions higher prices) ALSO contain a dose of decongestant too
. SO you would have to buy a packet of Sudafed as well and therefore would be more expensive.ac's lovechild0 -

Err - phenyephrine is basically useless as an oral decongestant - that's why you can buy it otc in supermarkets and garages. Sudafed (from pharmacies only) is much stronger and may work.

The point I'm making, albeit poorly, is that all cold and flu remedies are basically no better than taking a couple of paracetamol and a drink of water. Try it next time, you'll save money and feel better0 -
Wilkisons also have 16 tablets for about £1-16 with the extra Flu bits in, much cheaper than beechams and it has the same ingredients.0

Tesco's own brand cold rememdy, which contains the decongestant, is only 69p for 16 capsules.0
