Sorry, bertman, but there's a lot of drivel in your post.Just seen a report on GMTV, they are reporting that credit card interest rates are at an all time high when the bank rates are at an all time low.
On the same report it stated that Barclays had had bumper profits - funny how both things are linked.....:rotfl:
I tried to get the interest rate on my own MBNA card reduced yesterday from 34.9%, the robot on the line said he couldn't reduce them. I said they are higher than a loan shark and I guess Richard Branson has to get his money some way but I guess the answer to that wasn't on his little crib sheet....:D
Surely there should be a cap on the amount of interest that can be charged? It is our money that baled them out last year.
MBNA is an American bank. It scarcely got bailed out with "our money". And Branson (if yours is a Virgin branded MBNA card) is not gonna be getting a huge bung as a result of your rate going up.
The member of staff isn't a "robot" either. He does what he's trained, and authorised, to do. No need to disrespect him for that. :@0 -
Sorry Markymark but I've dealt with the muppets at MBNA too. I'm with Bertman on this one. I don't care what country of origin MBNA spawns from, they're a bunch of muppets!
Actually, that's being rather cruel to muppets but I can't describe them any other way without being banned from this site.
