Ideal Debt Solutions

Options
I've been very naive and think i've been tricked by this company. I'm self employed and like a lot of small businesses i'm struggling with debt -£30,000 in total. On the advice of National Debtline I completed income & expenditure forms and wrote a letter to all my creditors explaining my current situation and my proposal to pay them. One of these companies was the catalogue Simply Be. A financial manager from simply be phoned me on friday and was very nice and asked if I had heard about IVA's I admited I hadnt so she transfered me to her colluege. After being on the phone for about an hour I was told that an IVA was the way forward and they would send me the forms to fill, they told me not to pay anything to any of my creditors and not to speak to them which I thought a bit odd, I was getting suspicious at this point but as I hadnt signed anything I agreed to him sending the forms. As you've probably guesses the Simply Be advisor was in fact someone from Ideal Debt Solutions. Yesterday I received the pack and there is an invoice inside for £480 apparenty for "adminitration costs already incurred" please someone tell me I dont have to pay that! I've also looked into IVA's and there is no way I would get one as I live with my parents and even though my name is on the mortgage the house has 0 equity and my parents most definatly will not agree to anything that involves our house. Ideal Debt Solutions have also started phoning me and texting me. Has anyone got any advice on how to get them to leave me alone? I know I was stupid to even talk to these people but they were so nice and understanding I got completly sucked in:(

Rather than try and advertise a fee paying company, it would have been better if they had explained to the OP whether he was liable for the £480 "charge"
Thankyou Sir Alex for 26 years
