Coming off the property ladder a bad thing?

Options
What are everyone's feelings about coming off the 'property ladder'??

I'm currently living with my girlfriend (simply paying bills for my keep) however am renting a city centre flat out which I own. I am giving some thought to simply selling my flat and possibly taking a new mortgage out when we buy somewhere else together in a couple of years.

Are there any issues I should be aware of doing this, to do with my credit report or ability to get a new mortgage in the future that I should aware of if come off the property ladder???

AFter a year you may be classed as a first time buyer, other than losing the flat and future investment nothing to worry about.

Oh and every tom !!!!!! and harry telling you how to lead your life and the ladder is the only thing that matters in life! lol
