Can I attend interview whilst on sick

Thanks for everyone's feedback,

I feel within myself that should an interview arrise in this fortnight I would feel guilty in the fact that if i was to attend, I am still signed of from work whilst there, regardless to the fact it is a diferent indusrtry

I have never been signed off work, and I am rarely at the doctors.
I know how people feel regards to people being at the ham, as I know of people that have been off work, but find it no problem to be out at the weekend down the pub, only for there illness to reinstate again on monday. And are not bothered to the fact that people they work with have seen them out at the pub.

I know that in my 15 years of kitchen work, there have been so many people that have screwed the system and not given a second thought to the people that they work with, or the knock on effect that it causes by the additional work load this causes.
I think this is why i posted the question, if anyone had been in a similar situation that should an interview arrise whilst been signed of sick has anyone went?
