I have made these before by cutting normal flour tortillas into triangles, brushing with a little oil, sprinkling salt & pepper and garlic, chilli or barbeque seasoning and baked on a tray in the top of a hot oven for 10 mins or so until they're golden. Not quite as nice as Dorito's but a fraction of the cost :)

    Hi skint,

Corn tortilla wraps are best for this but ordinary ones will do too. Cut each wrap into eight triangles, brush lightly with a little oil and season with salt and a little chilli powder and cook at your oven's highest setting for a couple of minutes on each side.

You can deep fry the slices as well
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I don't think you can replicate the cheesey flavour but my boys especially love it if I make some, put them in the oven to crisp up but not brown too much, then put grated cheese on and whack them back in the oven until it's melted - it's gorgeous! I suppose it's what people would call nacho's :)
  • You can bake the wedges with out oil too. :D
    Put the kettle on. ;)
