Debt-free and Proud!

I paid a debt back a year ago for a Capital one. Originally i was paying a company called Apex who had purchased the debt and for 17 months i paid them every month. For the last 4 payments however i had to pay Robinson Way.

I never received a default letter from Capital one and as such, when i was paying Apex they never recorded a default on the debt with the CRA. Now i have noticed that Robinson way have recorded the Default as May 2005!!!!

I have used the 2 template letters from here asking them to remove the default letter and also to show me the original default.

The first letter i got back basically said they had a duty to report my data to the CRA and they were not removing the default.

The second one today says that as the account is settled and the account is closed the CRA have been notified. They then go on say they would only be required to produce a copy of the default notice if the were looking to enforce the account, which they are not as the account is now closed.

Where do i go from here as Apex verbally promised not to register the default which they did not to be fair to them. However when they sold the debt which only had 4 months remaining the default has now been reported.

I dont think i even got a default notice!!!!

Where do i go from here? I want to see this alleged default notice?
