I used up a few small boxes of curry and chilli leftovers and made a spicy lasagne the other night, I made the cheese sauce spicy too and it worked really well. I'm adding it to my meal list now. :D

I made a macaroni cheese to go with a roast and all the trimmings when we had visitors over!(To make the meal go round) and it was very popular.I believe this is a west indian habit ,to serve macaroni with a roast chicken meal??

Not strictly what the OP asks, but when I had cooked rice for 6 people they jolly well had it with the bolognaise sauce I'd defrosted having mistaken it for chilli!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Have to say, although they didn't complain, too busy laughing, noone's ever requested it since and I don't think I've created a new dish!:o It just didn't quite "work"!

I had pitta breads with brie, lettuce and sweet chilli sauce as they needed using up - I was totally expecting it to be horrible, but it was gorgeous! Have had it about four times since then!

I made some beanburgers last weekend that turned out a bit dry (used quite a lot of breadcrumbs...) so I served them with chilli and rice and they went down well.... not too surprisingly though as they were both 'bean-based' dishes.

I have also done cauliflower cheese with a roast - think it is also a West Indian thing, but is delicious!

Have also had bolognese sauce and cheese on toast, when wanting a really quick meal....

its supprising how things not ment to go together end up being nice...i asked my friend this question on the weekend.....and she done a stir fry... with bits left over...fish finger cut up.... 1 burger...cut up..(you know what happens you end up with one burger/fish finger left after you share them out)... and thrown in...frozen peas....and some fresh pineapple that needed to be used up....added her noodles and bean sprouts onions etc... and she said the kids loved it....so

so by the sounds of it no one has ended up with peaches and beans on the same plate then.
