Hi there, can you please give me some advice?
I'm on a DMP with Payplan. B'card are still being difficult and now I really am completely confused!
I pay £163 via PP which they are yet to accept. They refuse to speak to PP but they said today they would accept a payment plan through them for £95!!! !!!!!!???
I said "look i just want to clear my debt so why would I pay you nearly £70 less per month when all you have to do is accept PP's offer?".
She then said they would accept £163 per month directly from me with a 1% APR interest rate, reviewable in one year.
What shall I do??? I just don't get it! I'm worred that if I say "no, I'm sticking with PP" they may penalise me for being obstructive.
Incidentally, I made a complaint about them through the OFT today because I've had enough!
Any advice on whether this sounds like a scam gratefully received

Dear Completely confused
I think barclaycard are just a bit slow to communicate between departments. We had a similar experience where the right hand didnt know what the left was doing. Every time they communicated I got in touch with PP who would contact them again and eventually they stopped.
I found it easier to let PP do the communicating as I got nowhere with them.

How does the £163 compare to your original minimum monthly payment? and what about the £95? how does that compare to the original payment or the balance. Some creditors will say that they can only freeze interest if your payments are significantly less than the contracted minimum so it might revolve round this.
Bonkers though I agree.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
