Hi,
My brother and new family are moving in at the weekend and we want to paint the place this week with eco paint- the stuff that doesn't have the horrible VOC's in it, especially as they have a 6 month year old child.
I have done some reserach on finding out about it but was wondering if anyone had more knowledge and have looked and checked which is the cheapest and safest way to buy this paint. White is fine!!
There is about 66 square meters of wall in the bungalow times 2 coats = errrmmm at lot of liters??? Perhaps if some one has a link to work out how much paint you need to get that could be good!!
Also, anyone know where to get cheap, as eco as possible, quite hard wearing contract type carpet i.e. like rented flats in oatmeal to go through out the place that would be good too as we don't have time to faff about with colours etc sadly plus should be cheaper/ easier to whach it down...
If anyone can advise that would be much apreicated.
Thanks

Green and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!

Dulux have a paint calulator HERE if that helps. Also they have just brought out a paint called Ecosense which has no added VOC's which might help you in your quest for paint, don't know much about it though but as it is dulux I would imagine most of the big DIY places will be stocking it soon.
