Bankruptcy Restriction Order against me

Comments

  • Hi all, after much wrangling with the OR and Judge, I managed to agree and sign a 2 year Restriction Undertaking in the end. Case dropped. Glad it is now behind me and i can get on with things. I do agree that whether it is 2 years or 5, it is all acedemic because of it being on the credit file for 6 years. The credit reference agencies have cranked up the time a BRU/BRO is held on file to 6 years now, it used to be until the expiry date of the BRU/BRO. The insolvency service only keep it on their website until the expirey of the order. Because of this change in policy with the credit reference agencies (who decided? - can it be appealed?) - someone who is given a 2 year BRO/BRU is treated the same as someone who is given a 6 year one, as far as the credit reference agencies are concerend. Make sense?

Good for you, after all what does it really mean? you can't be a director of a limited company and you can't apply for credit for more then £500 without tell the lender you are BR. Did you find out why they wanted to slap a bru on you? I thought they had to have a real good reason and that it has to be in the public interest
If you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j
