Hi

Any help would be much appreciated

My partner & I have been on a DMP for the last 10 months with our local CAB. All of our creditors have accepted our token payments of £1 a month.

When my S.O.A was done the CAB contacted Welcome Finance on my behalf as I could no longer afford my contractual payments for the H.P agreement so they agreed to reduce the payments down to half the contractual amount to which I have been paying like clock work every month.

However I received a letter a few days ago stating I have defaulted on my H.P account and the agreement has been terminated & the full amount is due.

So I contacted them on Friday & they went through my Household Income & Expenses & they agreed that I could not afford more than what I have been paying, so they agreed the payment going forward

But they want to see my & my partners wage slips, AND both of our bank statements, to check the amounts are correct.

I have nothing to hide from them, but feel very uncomfortable with WF having these copies in their files (knowing there reputation), are they legally entitled to ask for these documents?? & can I refuse to give them the documents??

Any advice would be much appreciated

Thank you

    Hi Leeds

Not they are not legally entitled to these documents, you would only HAVE to provide them to a judge in court. I would not want them to have this info either.
